BURNT HILLS MUSIC is a Music Store as well as a Teaching Academy. Founded in 1991 by its' present owner, Rick Werblow, it has become a mainstay of community life. School rentals are available at great prices, and we get many local customers from Burnt hills-Ballston Lake schools, Ballston Spa schools, Scotia-Glenville schools, Galway schools, Schenectady Schhol, Schenedehowa School District, North Colonie schools, Rotterdam Schoos, and more! Not only do we serve the school rental programs in these and other school districts, but we also have all the many and sundrey items needed to support kids in school music programs: like school method books, and reeds, rosin, lubricants, instrument straps, cases, metronomes, tuners, strings, and hundreds of other items need for advancing students of woodwinds, brasswinds, and orchestral (string family) programs.
We also TEACH. We offer private lessons in guitar, piano, bass guitar, drums, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, flute, piano, voice, mandolin, banjo, violin, viola, cello, string bass, and more. Our excellent instructors all, with few exceptions, have a Bachelors' Degree, if not a Masters' Degree, in Music. All of them have a lot of teacdhing, performing, and life experience in music, and we love helping students. Lessons are given on a on-to-one basis, meek once a week, and are available to all ages, levels, styles and interests. Whether you are preparing a child to change instruments at school, are a teenager wanting to rock, or are a retiree who alsways wanted tpo play, we seel, rent, and teach a multitude of instruments. and we can help you get where you want to go.
When your instrument is not playing right, we can help with REPAIRS, too. We reapair guitars, mandolins, banjos (and other fretted instruments), violins, viola, cellos, basses. We reapir the brasswinds, like trumpet, trombone, and french horn. Woodwinds, like flutes, saxophones, and clarinets. We can help replace a drum head, or get your amplifier repaired. Whether you just need the strings replaced on your violin or guitar while you wait, or you need a guitar neck reset, or cracks fixed on your cello, we can do it. Most repairs are done in-house, others are picked up by our long-term repair technicians and taken where the proper tools, schematics and parts are. Very few repairs take more than a week or two. Loaners are available for many instruments. Ask for details. Yes, we routinely giv3e free estimates, but...Please! Let us see it and handle it to give a proper estimate!
Of course we are a Musical Instrument Seller too. We have new and used name brand instruments for all the categories listed above.
