Who We Are:
Insane Hydrographics is a surface coating company located in Triadelphia, W.V. We are a family owned and operated business that specializes in a water transfer printing process that allows us to print on any three-dimensional surface, known as hydrographics. The term hydrographics is also referred to as: water transfer printing, water transfer imaging, immersion printing, hydro dipping, or cubic printing, and can be applied to any object that is made from plastic, wood, glass, or metal. We have over 300 different film patterns to customize any waterproof item to your satisfaction!

What We Do:
The process of applying hydrographics to an object is a simple art. The first step is to prep the item by cleaning and sanding it as needed, and then applying primer and basecoat. The next step is to cut the customer’s film pattern choice to size and carefully place on the water’s surface in our water transfer printing tank. An activator solution is then sprayed on top, turning the film to liquid ink and enabling it to float on the surface of the water. We are then able to slowly dip the object into the ink, wrapping the pattern 360 degrees around the entire object. Once the film is turned to liquid ink and transferred onto the object a chemical reaction between the object’s surface and ink begins. The chemical compounds in the ink allows effective binding between the ink and the object, and adhesion starts to increase. Any remaining residue is rinsed off thoroughly and the item is left to dy. The next and final step is to apply an automotive grade clear-coat for maximized durability.
